the heater hose on my 2000 honda civic dx cracked

i replaced the whose on my civic and saw that it was cracked underneath the distributor cap i replaced the coolant water and turned the car on to let it idle for a while i drove it and it almost turns off  if i stop i think i may need to replace the distributor cap and rotor...any suggestions??

Yes replace if cracked.Can cause shut down,and lose power from arching.

i did replace it but it has low rpm and idles low i am wondering if the distributor could have gotten damaged

Moisture can some times damage the components,but if the car cranks good from first start ,i would not change it.may need to adjust it thoe,may be just a little bit out,from the way low rpm.

The disrtibutor,undo bolt a bottom and rotate,adjust your idle up,listen to car you will know when it revs up ,your rpm gauge should be around 800 rpm,at idle.

i havent replaced the cap and rotor just the hose... sorry i didnt mention that
