Power door lock on drivers door stopped working 2 years ago. I hear the motor moving, but no motion of the lock lever. There's no kink in the cable. Any ideas?

Power door lock on drivers door stopped working 2 years ago. I hear the motor moving, but no motion of the lock lever. There's no kink in the cable. Any ideas? I have the door open, so now's the time to address this.

Remove the door panel. Check if the lever for the lock has come off. There is a plastic clip that holds it on. Make sure this has not broken off. If so, you iwll need to replace this part. Causes for this part breaking can be as simple as a hard door slam!

These cars and other Hondas are noted for the DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR going bad. They will give you a loud buzzing type noise but will not lock or unlock the door. Chance are that this is what you are experiencing.
