Car makes a shaking and knocking sound intermittent only when driven at low speed

Asked by Hondaneedshelp Jan 18, 2019 at 06:13 PM about the 2003 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Honda will make a knocking sound and steering wheel will shake only
when I drive it under 40 miles an hour intermittently. If you let up off the gas or
give it more gas it will stop. Wheel bearings changed and timing belt or chain
replaced already.

On a serious note are your wheels tight? Maybe a tire with a slipped /broken belt
