Question type: General

Every now and then while I am driving down the road an oval yellow light will
appear in the bottom of the speedometer circle on my 2016 CRV. I alway hear
a few beeps when it appears and then it goes away. This light does not
appear on any of the documentation that I have seen in my handbook or
online.

The icon and the beeps are caused by the LDW (Lane Departure Warining) feature being turned on. To turn it off, look on the far left side of the dashboard in the lowest area. You will see a switch with a drawing of a car departing from a lane. If set to ON, this feature alerts only if you are not signaling a lane change and you get too close to one of the painted lines on either side of the lane. There is a camera mounted in front of you rear view mirror on your windshield monitoring your driving. I had mine turned off, and then I started getting the icon and beeps. I think when I took my car in for an oil change, the service technician switched the feature on.
