I have a Honda. Im leaking looks from transmission. It takes awhile to pick up speed and I have a small hole in the transmission shift cable. Is that the reason why I shift early and can't pick speed

Have you identified the leaking fluid as transmission fluid or is it engine oil?. How many miles on vehicle? The shift cable is not likely your lack of power. If you have high mileage on vehicle a restricted catalytic converter may be you problem.
Looks like oil but it's not coming from the oil pan. It's a new engine a mechanic put it in. It has 40,000 miles on the engine but I bought it with 161,000.I still gotta change the shift cable cause I got a small hole in it
Could need an adjustment on the electronic shift selector switch on top of the trans., or a failing solenoid. You should be able to tell the difference between trans fluid and oil by the color, smell and feel of it. Just because you can't see it leaking from the pan, does not mean it isn't engine oil. There are many places on an engine where oil can leak out then run down before hitting the ground.
