My 2001 Ford Tuarus SES shifts gears irregularly and the key doesn't easily turn on the car, I have to jiggle it a little, it putts until it warms up, my battery just died, so I bought a new one.
The next day it started I put it in
reverse, stepped on the gas, then it
died on me. I had it towed home, it
sat two days and started right up,
but died shortly after. When it started
shifting gears irregularly I took it to
the transmission shop and I was told
its not my transmission, it's my
computer. Should I replace the
computer before working on the
alternator. Any suggestions to any
parts of my despair would be greatly
appreciated.
