P235/75R15 to p235/55R17

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport they
currently have P235/75R15 tire's and
bought 4 new tires only these tire's are
P235/55R17 will they fit on the rim I
am currently using or do I need to buy
different rims to fit fit these tire's on?

It will fit but will you rub now that's the question, see below, copy and paste..

If your current rims are R15, then R17 tires will not fit! The "R" is "radius" and tire and rim radius must be the same.

Dudes right the last number is rim size and a 2" to big rim size wi never fit n hold air
