I shift into a forward gear, it stalls out. just fine in reverse, neutral or park.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a v6 automatic 2WD 2001 Passport. I had a problem in cold and humid conditions where occaisionally the REDUCED POWER light would come on and the accelerator would be unresponsive. I shut it off, start it again, do this a third time, and everything would be fine. However, I recently filled the vehicle up and it started up fine, but when I put it into DRIVE, it stuttered and died. I tried it in all forward gears, same thing. Any idea what's going on?
