2010 Chevrolet cobalt won’t start the first time

It ends up starting the second time.  
Headlights and interior lights working   
Previously traction and engine light
would go off and on but no problem
starting.  Now engine light on and
problem starting

Scan it for trouble codes. The computer likely knows what's wrong and is just waiting to be asked.
