Here is the color code for your vehicle:
That helps. But the problem that i am having is i bought i new clip for my wiring harness that was supposed to match with the original wires i had. They are the colors that you just gave to me but the original wires don't match the new ones so it is confusing and i have been searching for an hour to try and find an official color code for a stock wiring harness for my car and can't find one.
Typically the aftermarket harnesses match the stock wiring or are pretty darn close. What is different on the harness? Is it the power that's different or the speakers? Or everything?
I found this one if it helps:
the wires are all different colors and some of them are the same color with different colors stripes and one website i was looking at was way off so i started looking again
the only thing i can't figure out now is which one is my memory wire
Your memory wire should be yellow on the harness and White/Green on the car harness. It is the constant 12v wire. With the car ignition off, use a meter to verify the constant 12v wire from the car harness.
What wire you hook up for the dash light
I'm having the same problem you dash light don't come on
On harness from car, do not use the illumination dimmer wire, only use the illumination wire... Most after market head units do not have the ill. dimmer... So Illumination goes to illumination. That simple.
