A: NGK "R" or resistor spark plugs use a 5k ohm ceramic resistor in the spark plug to suppress ignition noise generated during sparking. NGK strongly recommends using resistor spark plugs in any vehicle that uses on-board computer systems to monitor or control engine performance

Okay i have another question if you can help me out, i have a 2000 honda accord v6 right and i have electric ignition coils instead of those wires that go to the sparkplugs would it be best if i use resistor spark plugs?? Looks like everything is mostly electric in the car if you can help that would be great if not its okay i really appreciate it.
The best way to explain is when I had bought mom a 1988 Honda Accord.....if I used non resistor plugs....I hear a lot of 'noise' as I accelerate on my radio....while using resistor plugs it cut down on all that noise. My suggestion
