Is the motor holding back? Or dose it rev up just fine but not moving?

It revs fine just wont go. Past 25mph
Well you must know it is in the trany then, did you put one in from a junk yard?
Fernando102013 answered 8 years ago
Yea we took it from an exact model the truck we took it from had flipped and had 30k mikes on it
Well you'd think it would be good, Does it seem like it is slipping? Does the transmission shift? What is it doing?
Fernando102013 answered 8 years ago
It shifts to 2nd gear but after that nothing same as the old tranny
By chance was the old transmission removed and replaced for some reason before it had this trouble?
Fernando102013 answered 8 years ago
All i know is they drained the fluids and placed it in a warehouse thats about it i mean the tranny has 6 month insurance bur i just dont know where to look or what to do

A friend was saying it could be the cat converter but i mean the truck revs just wont go past 25mph
Well that was my very first thought, and now it makes sense since you had the same problem with the other trany...or not. You can check the cat by having the truck warmed up go for a ride in the dark, stop somewhere where it is dark with the motor running and look under neath at the cat and see if it is glowing orange. If so then it is plugged.
I can not get my 04 taho to rev over 2000 rpm it will not go any faster then 40 to 50 mph
I have a 2004 Tahoe that will not go over 30 miles so what what makes what caused that not to go over the regular miles
