Ford ranger battery

I have a 2001 Ford ranger v6 3.0 liter. I recently
changed the alternator and battery because of a
consistent fluctuation on the battery gauge in the
dashboard. The battery light was also coming on
whenever i pressed down on the gas. Now these
Symptoms are still very apparent after the change
of an alternator and battery. What could potentially
be my problem here?

Perhaps a bad engine to frame ground?

Interesting. I put it in the shop today to run some electrical tests we shall see
