VW EOS convertible will not work, have been told it might be a fuse. Is that possible?

SOMEONE WITH MORE INFO ON THIS SHOULD HELP..BUT THERE IS FUSE/S/LINKS AND SWITCH POWER IN AND OUT THINGS TO CHECK...

There are a bunch of switches and buttons in the trunk and might be one of them that aren't working

I had that issue and turns out after my battery died I had many codes that auto zone couldn't read. Took it to the local mechanics school where they have more advanced diagnostics available and found 65 codes that had the car listed in its computer as a 4 door with a door open and it prevented the hood from retracting. After clearing the codes and changing it to an eos it worked fine. Dealership might also be able to do this but it was free as I knew someone going to school at that time. I forget the name of the system they used.
