Honda civic gsr won't start just backfires out of exhaust ??

Your timing sounds like it's out of sync. Has the timing belt been serviced at all? If so, was it set properly? It may be that the belt skipped a few teeth on the gear or if the belt is fine the cap and rotor you just replaced is not positioned correctly.
I have aem true time cam gears and idk how to time them to get them TDC. I read that the intake cam rotate 360 then exhaust. I can't get the 0 to be 90 degrees of both cams
If you are going to do this diy, I would strongly suggest watching as many YouTube videos as you possibly can for your year and make. There are some very detailed videos out there.
