2011 1.6 polo sedan...fan not coming on

Hi...i recently had an accident with my car...ive now
repaired it but to cut cost disconnected the aircon
as it was damaged...and nw have a problem with
the fan not coming on...pls help

The 1.6 VWs, such as Polo, are not available in N America, so I'm not familiar with them...however, the Golfs, Passats... etc, have two fans. One for engine and the other comes on when the AC's compressor kicks in. If your car has two fans, one won't run if AC is disconnected. Because the engine fan isn't connected to the AC (as far as I know), it should still work. Either way, a good auto electrician should be able to bypass the AC system and/or troubleshoot your fan(s).
