If car has a history of other problems including run hot on several occasions. Would it be advisable to change a broken timing belt and it has over 300.000 hundred thousand miles on it

Timing belt breaking has it own set of needed repairs to fix since it broke while running, the overheating causes the head to warp so its toast now, your pistons (or even rods/cam/valves but doubt it) may be too, so it has high miles too, Just replace it.
