My Car got up to 130 degrees and my fans never came on. I let the car cool down to 90 and turned on the heater to get home, temp stayed at 90 degrees. Cooling fans never came on. The car has sat for several days and when I put it to auxiliary the fans came on and ran for 10 seconds. Any suggestions as to what to look for??

I also have an 08 jetta 2.5L and I had a similar problem with my fans not working. For me it the fans were just becoming unplugged due to the clip being broken on it. Once i fixed this it worked fine. Yours could be the same but could also be a fuse
Thank you, They seem to be working again, so we are keeping an eye on the temp. But I will check if they are plugged in tight, maybe they are slightly loose that they lose contact every so often.
