the lights flicker in my 99 honda passport

I believe that all cars do this. Its just the sheer amount of power being used to start your car up. Especially on older cars, like my 97 Trans Am. If it really bothered you, buy a bigger battery, but there is nothing wrong with your car.

which lights are you talking about? i have to agree with the previous response it happens to every car... even newer cars. maybe its me, but i dont like to have different accesories on when im starting my car. like the previous person wrote it does take a lot to start a car and i believe the less i have on while starting the less stress on my battery. but thats just me

Run you a ground wire fromthe motor to the fender or frame and that will fix the problem.
