After resetting maintenance
required light, my car is
hesitating while driving as if I
were pumping the brakes

You really should have had the obd read concerning what codes were present but it could be related to something like a bad coil or air flow problem like the maf sensor. Would get the code read and post back and most likely people on here will give a better idea for you. Good Luck!
