I slammed the hood on my car extremely hard and now it will crank but not start.

Asked by Paula Mar 15, 2019 at 02:43 AM about the 1998 Honda Civic DX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car wasn't having any
problems until I slammed my
good very hard. Now it will crank
no start. Distributor cap didn't
look right so I replaced bolts.  My
boyfriend tried to turn the car on
while distributor cap was off. Also
I found aluminum foil in my under
dash fusebox behind a fuse.
Could it have moved when I
slammed the hood and not
making contact now? Its been
broke down for a year now and I
am not employed and poor. Help. I
am mechanically inclined
