My car will go in reverse, drive and will drive down the road for a half a mile the gas peddle accelerates but won't drive or go into reverse. It just goes out. You can ram it up but will not go.

i have a 04 honda civic i drive everyday went to work this morning no problem.. when i tried leaving work car starts up every time but after 2 seconds if that it dies out... also tried holding down pedal and rpm goes up but still dies out and can hear like putty noise from exhaust fuel pump sounds like its working and i can see from engine it shoots out.... what can this be? 1 Answer
