1998 Honda Passport Radiator?

Asked by Ebarkley Jul 16, 2020 at 09:56 AM about the 1998 Honda Passport 4 Dr EX 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,

I have a 1998 Honda Passport EX that has
been idling high for awhile in the 2k-2.5k
range. I changed the temp sensors and it
helped for awhile, until it started idling high
again.

On Monday, I was sitting in the vehicle, in park
idling and then white smoke spilled out from
the hood and I get out of the vehicle and
there’s green fluid everywhere on the ground.

The tow truck driver said it was the radiator
that blew, and he even drove it onto the
flatbed.

So, my questions are - do I need to replace
the radiator, and are there any other parts I
should replace? Is it worth it to change the
radiator?

1 Answer

I had the same problem on the same car and it was a crack in the radiator. Could be a hose but I imagine it's similar. I see you posted this 2 months ago did you get it fixed? If so, what was the issue?
