Won't start blowing fuse
2000 Ford contour
One day drive while driving the battery light comes
on. Go to appt and car won't start. Car sits for nout
a month. Try to get it going 2 fuses r blown the
starter and the main engine ...I replace the battery
and alternator car still won't start ..I replace fuel
pump still won't start. I hard wire fuel pump .. are
starts a d runs ..now 2 weeks later after hooking
and unhookinh the fuel pump(which sometimes
the car needed it sometimes it didnt) now I got the
starter relay out I'm jumping it with a wide because
1 I lost the key and 2 it won't turn over...can
someone please help me with whatever is going
on..so basically right now car continues to blow
fuse to the main engine fuse the starter fuse here
and there ..car won't crank even when fully charged
what do I do other than a gallon of gas and a
match
there is no fuse for main starter load. Note the starter diagram, hopefully it is correct? Main voltage for starter load comes from battery. In my opinion, you can't start it w/o the key, my info says part of your security system is starter motor disable. Yes, you can jump starter relay or contacts at starter motor and it should crank, but, if security system is involved, it still isn't going to start. What I posted is just my opinion. I did look at power distribution wiring diagram for your vehicle, I did see 175 amp fuse, That is for generator not starter motor, in my opinion. if there is a second fuse blowing, I need amp rating, I guess.
