I have a 97 Honda accord, 5 speed manual with a 4.0 in it.
it idles fine, and drives fine, but has died over and over when driving. It takes a few engine turns to get it to turn over and run again. Fuel pump comes on for 10 seconds roughly and cuts off, as it should. but my whole car shuts off. Can anyway help? Bad distributor???

Is your check engine light on. I would look at a couple of things. The distributor, if there is bad wiring it can cause the car to cut off. The igniter / ignition control module, if you unsure how to test it with a test light then take it off and go to a parts store like advance auto parts, they can test it for free. The ignition coil, the 90's accords and civic's had a problem with the coil failing while driving, if it looks burnt at the tip where the distributor contacts the coil, replace it. I'd also check the fuel pump relay, it may seem like it's working fine but relays can sick open or closed, or even act like a circuit breaker when heated to much.
