I had someone looking at my car and with it running they pulled a spark plug

You have no idea how strange this sounds. Why did they remove a spark plug from a running engine? First remove all the spark plugs the put a wrench on the crankshaft pulley and try to turn the engine, does it turn? Did the cylinder in question push any coolant or oil out? If OK try to turn it over with the starter, if it turns tune the engne replace fuel filter, I hope this helps, take care
