1997 Honda Civic LX crank no start.

Asked by XxchristmasxX Nov 18, 2014 at 10:42 PM about the 1997 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Long story short, Car begins to over
heat, (replaced radiator) headgasket
blew. (Wouldn't start, but started
after a long crank) white smoke from
muffler. Replaced headgasket, no
start. Messed with the timing by
turning the crankshaft counter
clockwise. No specific reason. I've
also replaced fuel pump and filter,
distributor, spark plug wires (has
spark) I can hear fuel pump prime an
fuel injectors fetting fuel when in
start. I tightend my head the right
way. (I can hear a buzzing sound
coming from the starter area) I put a
new battery, battery terminals,
battery fuze. Still just cranks but no
start. I just wanna know if I should go
ahead an replace my thermostat,
timing belt and water pump. Haven't
felt like a boss in my car for about 8
weeks now :( please help
