I have a 1996 honda accord lx . Car turns on
.warms up  . And in Park (P) and the engine stops
sometimes it stops when im in D4 . when it the
engine stops the oil light comes on along with the
battery light on the dash .can someone help?

Check oil make sure it's full and make sure battery is good and alternator when it's running take hot post cable off if car does replace alternator of not weak oil pump possibly

Yes it could be if it's bad if bad most has a safety feature to stop it from running to keep from damaging the engine

So o changed sparkplug and i found oil in the sparkplug well i turned on the car on it turned off on me so i checked the alternator by disconnecting tge negative cable and my idle started going up and down car felt like it was going to turn off it didnt bit the dashboard lights went crazy went on and off . So i turned the car off and connected the cable agin and it worked fine but it stalled again could it be the alternator?
