Front bumper missing from Accord. Drivable but did not know if it was safe

Asked by mikehunt69 Jan 21, 2008 at 04:22 PM about the 1996 Honda Accord LX V6

Question type: General

I have a 1996 Honda Accord LX V6 and the bumper was ripped off. The car drives but i was wondering if it is safe to drive without the bumper because there are two medal circles about 3 feet from each other on the very front of the car i didnt know if these were air bag sensors or what

You should be safe to drive, I would take it to a body shop or mechanic immediately to get an estimate on repair. The metal circles sound like the bumper mounts to the subframe.

Some states say that driving a car like this is un-safe, Althou we all see cars like this. My advice would be to get it fixed as soon as possible. If you meet up with a cop with to much free time or is having a bad day expect you to have a bad day too. just my two cents. Best of luck
