bogging then regaining up to 15000 rpm

I was driving and the car bogged shut off then few seconds later refueled and
came back on. did it fir 100 miles I nursed it home then it wouldn't start.

I am thinking the fuel pump is ready to fail completely but first replace the fuel filter if it's more than 30K miles old.
