my 95 honda civic wants to turn on but does not at first i thought maybe the alarm short circuited so i disabled it well its still does not want to turn on it makes a sound like the batteries died but its not the battery either i took it to a mechanic and they keep it for a week and charged me $200 just to tell me that they could not find out was wrong with it but would buy it off of me i told them to f off

My honda civic lx 97 cuts off a lights and stop signs but cranks back up with no problem its a automatic,also when I press the gas the rpm goes up to like 4 and stays for a second then it finally sounds like it caught the shift and goes back down but does it all over again when having to accelerate its like has no get up and go power it takes it a minute.what could be my problem? 1 Answer

I have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex that the engine light is coming on. I took it to have the codes read and it came up CSF sensor so I replaced it but the light is still on. I have taken it to so many places and it is now not showing any codes!!! The ECU has been reset and the battery cables have been disconnected and reconnected. What could be the problem? Car sounds like I have a flat tire when driving, but all tires are fine and filled properly. The tires are wearing unevenly as well. They've replaced the engine mount (said it was vibrating too much) and nothing changed. Aligned it and nothing changed. Now they want to replace the compliance bushings, replace all the tires, and align them again. Would love to know what these symptoms can be attributed to (and if they've just been ripping me off!) 1 Answer

I checked online what the other signs of worn compliance bushings were (like a clunk when braking), but I've never had a clunk when braking.
