I have a 1994 accord . eng cut off while driving and won't re start. when key is turned on eng off the dist homs loud. i removed dist cap and with key on spark comes out of the ign coil like a welder , just continuous spark without cranking. went to check for ecm codes but check eng light would not flash at all. if I unplug ecm the dist spark stops. looks like a bad ecm, comments?

I have a 2001 honda accord and today my car wouldnt start up , i tried for about 5 mins then i stepped on the gas a little while i was trying to crank it and it finally turned over! My check engine light is on , i just had a few repairs on my car like changing front o2 sensor and brakes and oil change. My car has been hesitating alot in last few months. when i stop at a stop sign for example and then i press on the gas it takes awhile to feel like its normal full power til i step on it kinda hard then it shoots forward to normal. I had 2 codes coming up on my car , the mechanic cleared one when he changed out o2 sensor it was blistered (code had something to do with heating element) but he couldnt clear other code he was hoping in few days it would clear on its own after my oil change p1259 . any suggestions on what i may need this is my only transportation? 2 Answers

I have a 1980 Honda Accord start and runs great with or with out AC, wipers and Stereo on. But when the headlights are turned on the engine starts to die, if headlights are turned off before engine dies the engine takes off and runs great. My 1987 Honda Accord DX surges when you get to about 2000-2500 rpm. I've replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, and both fuel filters. I ran a can of carb cleaner through the carburator, all with no change. A repair shop told me it wasn't the distributor and it would be expensive to look further. HELP! 1 Answer
