How do I get my heat to work

Sounds like you may need the thermostat changed. Does the temp. gauge on the dash show normal? or is it low.

Shows it normal if it was the thermostat wouldn't it be running hot?

It could run hot or cold. Make sure the coolant level is full. I suspect the Heater Control Valve that is in the heater hose.

Ok thank you I'll check that

Ya temp gauge is normal, so the thermostat is good which gets the coolant system to proper operating temp. the Heater Control Valve is what regulates the heat coming into the cabin. If this does not work (and I believe it will) it could be that the heater core is plugged and would need a back flush.
