Where is the 4wheel drive button on a2000 Ford explorer

On the dash to the left of the radio . Not all explorers are 4x4.

It might be 2 wheel drive. If you are sure it's 4WD, and has no 4x4 switch, then it's All-Wheel-Drive. The switch would be located 1/2 an inch to the left of the radio.
