2011 Audi A4 Timing Chain Replacement

I have a 2011 Audi A4 with 140,000km's on it.  The dealership told me I should replace my timing chain.  When I asked them if it's something I needed to do right now they told me they recommend it.  They quoted $2300 and basically told me pay $2300 now or risk paying $9000 if there's an issue.  Any thoughts on quote and is this something I should be getting taken care of ASAP?

If oil has been changed regularly the timing chain should last the life of the engine.

If you knew the VW 2.0T you wouldn't tell that... There was a class action about the timing chain / timing chain tensioner... They DON'T LAST THE LIFE of the engine on the models before 2012... Check here : https://timingchainlitigation.com/

I had a 2011 audi a4 2.0L T-FWD. My timing chain tensioner went out in my car n left me stranded; however, up until that point, I loved that car!! I did find that there was a class action lawsuit that affected my car in particular, with many stipulations that had I been informed of or aware of when I purchased the car, I would've gotten a brand new engine courtesy of Audi. I'm not sure if your car qualifies, but I think it's probably worth looking into.
