Is the problem with the handle itself. Having three explorers of that era I can say I had to replace the handle on two. Will the door open from the inside? If so the problem is with the outside handle. Replacement is not difficult. The door panel has to be removed, two bolts removed, and the handle comes off from the outside.

It doesnt open from the inside either, the handles seem to be fine, at one point i was able to pull the lock up useing plyers but then once i put the car in drive it automatically locks :/

OK, then the actuator which locks and unlocks that particular door is shot and probably requires replacing. Or, there is a problem with the electrical circuit in the door. If the other three doors lock and unlock remotely electrical power is almost certainly being supplied past the drivers door, which is the control point.

If only the drivers side door opens electrically, the problem is probably in the drivers side door. Power is supplied there and jumps to the other doors.

First, it is not good to simply fill the radiator with water. A 50/50 mixture of coolant is required to provide the proper protection against corrosion of internal parts not to mention preventing boil over during summer and freezing in the winter. Now to the leak. Now for the leak. The radiator return bottle (plastic) is mounted on the passenger side of the vehicle. There is a rubber hose going from there to the radiator. Check it first for leaks as it is the simplest to repair/replace. Also, the drain plug on the radiator is on the passenger side of the radiator. It could be leaking, but I doubt it. Also it is difficult to get to when the radiator is install in the vehicle. I also doubt the drain plug worked itself loose. cont.

Check the radiator hoses for leaks, there is one on the top and one on the bottom. Again, I do not believe this is the problem either. The problem is there is a leak in the system and when the vehicle is running, or when turned off, the pressure in the radiator is built up to somewhere around 12 pounds per square inch. Meaning it is like shaking up a coke bottle and removing the cap. Pressure forces the water out.. cont.

I just finished repairing my daughters 99 explorer which was leaking on the passenger side. The radiator was leaking from the bottom and required replacement. It is not a difficult procedure as only two bolts require removal, along with the two hoses and the small recovery tank hole, along with the transmission lines. If you have a boy-friend who does not believe manual labor is a Mexican, it would be a simple fix taking about 30 minutes to accomplish. The radiator cost is about 200 bucks, the antifreeze about another 20. Good luck.

we replaced the heating hose and this stopped the leak but nw when i drive it and turn it off it sounds like theres steam coming out from smwhere what could be the problem.

A hissing noise would indicate another possible leak. If it is leaking you will be a drop in the coolant level in the recovery tank. You may have to fill the tank a few times to ensure you have all the air out of the system. If it is steam, you would probably not only see it when the hood is open, but smell it also.

Check at the two connections where the heater hose was replaced. Maybe it was not tightened enough. Where else? Upper hose, lower hose, radiator, from around the water pump (the lower hose connects to the water pump on the bottom half of the engine). If there is a hiss there should be water coming out if the radiator is full.

have a 2016 ford explorer and the rear driver side door doesn't open. All other doors open. Is it the actuator?
