Is this a sign of motor lock up

Asked by Kris Feb 04, 2015 at 12:21 AM about the 1993 Honda Accord SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a bad oil leak and my oil light
is coming on but there is plenty of oil
today i went to go see where the leak
is coming from and i was told that all
the oil is going straight to the bottom
but i was also told there is to much
oil in the car. Today when i tirned the
car on the d4 sign for the gears was
flashing and when i gave it gas it
barely moved a bit. I get to walmart
where i had to the oil leak checker "
this is before getting the leak
checked" so after a while they drain
all the oin that was in there and puts
in new oil on my way home it was
still flashing and it jerked on the way
home. What is weong with my car?

All the signs of a failing oil pump. If you don't change it you will blow the engine.

It could be a clogged screen/filter on the bottom of the pump also, but if you are going to check that, just change the pump as well.
