2016 Nisan Altima engine light came on?
Only the light came on. It does not say check engine soon . Could this be for an oil change interval being reached? Thank you and Happy 4th of July.

check engine lights come on for maintenance reminders and for serious issues. I'd just take it to any Auto Zone or parts store and have it scanned for you. Then u will know exactly what the problem or reminder is for. If you are at a key mileage point, 50,000; 75,000 or something like that , then it is probably just a service reminder. It's free to have it scanned for you though or u could just buy a scan tool and do it yourself from now on! Saves you a trip every time a check engine light comes on.

I have a 2006 Altima, the service engine light came on after I got gas, steady not blinking. I had gotten down pretty low. Anyway, made it home, tightened the fuel cap, but now it won't start???
