My '92 Accord speedometer worked most of the summer then became erratic when the weather cooled off and finally quit completely. My Honda mechanic friend helped me pull the instrument cluster. We found a blackened trace on the printed circuit board. Two 47uF, 16V capacitors connected on that trace were old and leaky. Replaced them with 47uF, 50V parts and it works now.
