1992 Honda Accord with a battery drain issue.

Asked by IBMiGuy Nov 26, 2016 at 07:03 PM about the 1992 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter has a 1992 Honda Accord with 85,000 miles. She started having
an issue with a dead battery.  I noticed that when the car is turned off the
lights on the radio are still on.  The radio does not turn on, it's just the dim
lights around the function control knobs. Where do i begin?

Maybe the radio is the drain. If you know how then check to see how many amps the radio is drawing with the key off. You may need to replace the radio or install a kill switch for it.
