Your rack and pinion more than likely mine was doing the same thing but I first noticed a shimy when I would do interstate speeds and then I started to use brake fluid in access.. couldn't find a drop in engine compartment...then I put new brakes and rotors on all way around and the fuid is dripping under when I pulled drivers wheel off right on rack and pinion steering.and when I whip into a parking spot. To the left in makes awful racket.
