Is the front end of a 2005 Honda Accord V6 interchangeable with a 2005 Accord inline 4?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm trying to replace the front end of a wrecked 2005 Accord Sedan I-4, and
auto wreckers have told me I can only replace it with another I-4, not a V6.  The
only difference I can find is that the V6 hood uses gas struts, and the I-4 uses a
prop rod.  Otherwise, everything else appears to be identical.

It might be a case of misunderstanding - when I hear "front end" I think everything from engine cradle/subframe to suspension. you appear to just need the cosmetic stuff - grille, bumper cover, hood and fender. One way to know for certain is to compare OEM part numbers, ask at the parts counter at a Honda dealer.
