Beca, usually you're going to notice the engine go into neutral and rev up between 1st and 2nd gear shifts. That's a common problem. How many miles are on your car? It's expensive, but, depending upon the overall condition of your car it's generally less expensive to fix than buying a newer or late model car. An independent garage with a good reputation is your best bet.
