Can you advise the parasitic load on by 2013 Honda CRV

Asked by Guru958ZX5 Jan 13, 2021 at 02:09 AM about the 2013 Honda CR-V Touring AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our Honda CRV is not used a great deal during these difficult times. I hook it
up to an Accumate trickle charger which works well on other vehicle but not
on the Honda. I have been advised the Honda has a high parasitic load in
excess of 30-50 mA which creates problems for the charger.
Can you advise what the parasitic load is for this vehicle.

I use a Deltran Battery Jr, on all my vehicles. Works well. Did you try measuring the load with your multimeter?

Easiest solution might be to just disconnect the battery before hooking it up to charge. Kindof annoying yeah but if you're not driving it much can save you some cash.
