2005 Honda CRV A/C Compressor and a front end collision

Asked by BonTul Mar 27, 2020 at 12:13 PM about the 2005 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently had a front end collision with my 2005 Honda CRV and the body shop
replaced the radiator and the condenser and when I got it back the A/C was not
working. They are saying it isn't their fault, is that possible?

It depends on why the A/C isn't working. If the system is recharged after the condenser repair but the system isn't cooling due to a problem with the control head, expansion valve, compressor clutch or compressor that weren't damaged during the accident, then it wouldn't be their fault.

It was working before the accident, actually, it has always worked really well. I bought it new with 14 miles and I've never had any major problems. I've done all the scheduled maintenance with the dealership and I've taken very good care of this vehicle. They said they filled it with freon and he thought the freon might have oozed out by a pinched o-ring. I'm confused. How is this possible?
