Probably the same setup as my 1999 explorer. Do you mean the speedometer doesn't work? Does the odometer work? The cluster works of electrical signals. There are no serviceable parts other than a tiny gear which operates the speedometer, odometer. It's plastic. It will eventually break. The tiny gear can be replaced, but the speedometer needs to be calibrated after replacement. A re-manufacturered cluster (already calibrated) can be purchased on the net. It's plug and play. If the problem is within the cluster. If the speedometer doesn't work, and the odometer doesn't work, it's probably the cluster.
