Gas Smell When Starting Up Car

Hmm? I'm having flashbacks about an old company car I used to have...At the time it was a new '00 Grand Prix. It had a fuel smell all the time (for a few days) ..turned out it was the fuel tank itself that needed to be re-attached! In your case, it could be something as simple as the gas cap..or maybe the exhaust system. Have it checked out by a reputable mechanic ASAP!
I know this thread is old but I figured out what was causing the gas smell in my 2011 Tuscon. It was the fuel that was being used. LThis vehicle does not like low Octane fuel. Minimum 91 octave...93 is better. My car also had a knock that made it sound like a Diesel engine. Higher octane smoothed it right out and gas smell gone.
I can smell gas When I start up my zero KM Hyundai Tucson 2019 should I be concerned please?
Since your car is brand new take it back to your dealer!!!
