Sounds like the fuel pump "Inertia" switch is damaged from the accident. When the auto was hit, the inertia switch momentarily cut off the fuel pump so as not to cause a fuel spill. They should have replaced it at the garage that fixed the car, but most garages aren't "on the ball" to think past bent sheet metal. I would tell you to go online to "www.Chilton's.com" and look up how to replace the switch.
You went to Maaco. They can't do a decent paint job. Why on earth would you allow them to repair your car after an accident? Drive it to the nearest wrecking yard, hand them the keys and title. Get a couple hundred bucks and walk away. Chances are the repairs from Maaco are sub-par and you jepordize your saftey whenever you drive. I would be scared to have Maaco repair any accident damage. They short-cut the repairs.
