Fuel economy gone up since sensor malfunction

Asked by Marc Jul 27, 2018 at 10:36 AM about the 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 230

Question type: General

The engine air intake sensor is showing as in fault,
deep analysis shows it's working but the brain says
it's faulty. However my fuel economy has gone up
from average 47mpg to over 60mpg... should I
leave it broke? C220
