Car won't start after lights were left on Auto

Asked by Distrought May 08, 2017 at 11:19 PM about the 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 230 Kompressor Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a C230 Kompressor, it's been a dream
for the year that I've had it but after my
husband left the light switch turned to Auto
it won't start!! I have dash lights and
message about SRS system needing
assistance for about the past week. I have
headlights and radio. Put it on car charger
for several hours... wouldn't start. I tried
jumping It off... wouldn't start. I had a
mechanic look at it and he 'believes' it needs
a starter. The car has given me NO
indication that the starter was going bad!
Anybody have any suggestions??? HELP!!

Unless its a dead battery because the auto off function is gone out and it drained the battery and it will not start in-which you need to charge battery back up, it has nothing to do with the auto function mine stays on auto function. Starters 95% of the time do not give any warning that was the last time it will work again. So let your husband have a nice evening.
